Creating an account in Vista helpdesk will provide you your helpdesk URL as https://companyname.vistahelpdesk.com, with your support email as support@companyname.vistahelpdesk.com. Any email sent to this ID will be converted into the ticket in your Vista helpdesk support panel. The subject and body of the email become the Subject and Description of the ticket, while sender of the email becomes requester or the client of your support panel.

If you want to want your clients to send their requests or issues to your support email ID (support@companyname.com). You can set this in just a few minutes.

Here is a quick guide to set up your support email:

  1. Log in to your Vista Helpdesk support portal as an Administrator
  2. Click on the Settings from the Drawer.
  3. Click on Email Forwarding.

  1. You will be taken to the Email Forwarding settings page.

  1. Give a Name to your email address (like ABC Support). This will be the "From" name used to reply tickets of your clients.
  2. Before entering your support Email ID set a forwarding rule in your mailbox. Learn to Set forwarding rule for Gmail account.
  3. Enter Your Support Email ID. This email address is where your clients will email their issues, questions, and bugs.

  1. The support Email ID will be your Reply-to address for every email you send from your Support Portal.
  2. Click Save and you are all done.
